Heritage NuMex 6-4 - Mild Green Chile Seeds
NuMex Heritage 6-4 - An improved New Mexico green chile with mild heat and great flavor. The original New Mexico 6-4 seed from a 1957 seed bank was used to reselect this variety with all the best attributes. The result has more flavor with higher yields and more uniform heat. All of the improved New Mexico green chile cultivars from New Mexico State University carry the 'NuMex' name.
Chiles have thick flesh and grow 6" long on productive 30” plants. Capsicum annuum (70 days)
Heat Level: Mild Scoville 1000
~ Packet contains 30 seeds.
In early spring, start seeds indoors 8 weeks prior to warm nightly temperatures. Place the seeds in sterile media and cover 1/4” deep. Provide 85°F bottom heat, bright light and keep moist at all times. Seeds will germinate in 7 - 21 days. Transplant seedlings into pots and grow until there are 6 true leaves on the plant. Plant them directly into rich soil, 30” apart or into large 5-gallon containers. Harvest chiles when they are green. If left on the plant a couple more weeks, the chiles will turn red at full maturity.
All of our seeds are GMO-free.

Growing good
Waiting for the peppers to germinate. Raised bed is ready ..!
My mama grew some mild green chiles from Sandia Seeds last year and they were so good I just ordered all of my seeds from them for next years garden!
Shipping was fast, free and I was able to track it every step of the way with the shop app! So easy to use, and a genuinely great experience that I just ordered more!
I will write another review this time next year with all of my veggies displayed!
I absolutely loved growing and eating this pepper from seed to plate. Germinated well. Grew well in a container in Zone 6a. Prolific producer. Roasted well in an air fryer and tasted 10/10.
Love growing these in our garden, nice sized chile with good flavor.
