Habanero Trick or Treat NuMex - No Heat - Pepper Seeds
Habanero Trick or Treat NuMex - No Heat - Pepper Seeds
It's back!
This no heat habanero pepper that looks and tastes like an orange habanero. The flavor and aroma of Trick or Treat is equal to, or better than a hot habanero. This variety was crossed with a Capsicum chinense orange habanero that was lacking the capsacin heat gene.
Make salsa with incredible flavor by using six Trick or Treat peppers and one hot habanero. The flavor will be out of this world!
The orange lantern shaped pods grow on 24”-36” tall plants that continue to produce fruit all summer long. Capsicum chinense (95 days) Heirloom - Open-pollinated
Heat Level: Sweet. Scoville Heat Units: 0
~ Packet contains 10 seeds.

In early spring, start seeds indoors 8 weeks prior to warm nightly temperatures. Place the seeds in sterile media and cover 1/4” deep. Provide 85°F bottom heat, bright light and keep moist at all times. Seeds will germinate in 7 - 21 days. Transplant seedlings into pots and grow until there are 6 true leaves on the plant. Plant them directly into rich soil, 30" apart or into large 5 gallon containers. Harvest peppers when they are orange.
All of our seeds are GMO-free.

Not all seeds germinated but the pack came with a few more than labeled. The ones that did germinate produced nice bushy plants. Still waiting on fruiting:)
I use these tasty habaneros in my "mild" salsa I make for my Mom. who can't tolerate heat. We both love the flavor of this pepper in salsa! Although, I pair it with a wicked hot Habanero salsa so I can swap between the two. I'll grow these every year.
Well, while I like hot peppers, not everyone does. This is a great Habanero to add to salsas for those who can't take the spice. They have great flavor, and are pretty and prolific. These had great germination, too, with some heat. Nearly every seed sprouted! I highly recommend this if you like the flavor of Habaneros but want to tame the heat in your recipes.
