SEED SOWERS ENVY

Garden Meme: Seed Sowers Envy

SEED SOWERS ENVY:

When you wish your plants grown from seed
were as big as the nursery-bought ones

🤣 Right?! Don't worry, your seedlings will catch up with the greenhouse grown ones quickly. Right after we plant, and we see others with larger plants from the local nursery, we always think "How come ours don't look that good? Should I have started earlier? But I don't have room...I wish I had a greenhouse..."

Arg, the ambitious gardener's guilt!

Well, don't despair, we've found that our smaller seedlings that are transplanted into the garden quickly catch up with their nursery-grown older siblings...
It's just hard to remember this when they're so small at first.

It's amazing how much they'll grow in the next few months. So be patient! We also want to note that peppers, after transplanting, seem to take their sweet old time putting on new growth. Likely because they are growing roots and settling in, but don't worry they'll be growing taller soon.
