Hatch Green Mild - NM 6-4 has always been the standard for open-pollinated mild green chile. It is such a wonderful variety that it remains very similar to its improved cousin NuMex Heritage 6-4. Pods are 6" long with thick fleshy walls and grow on 30” plants.  A large amount of Hatch Green Mild can be added to recipes for delicious and traditional flavor and aroma with mild heat and not the burn of hotter varieties. The most popular green chile to grow because of its mild heat content and it matures early and grows well in short seasons. Capsicum annuum (70 days) Heirloom - Open-Pollinated - Untreated

Heat Level: Mild Scoville: 1,000

~ Packet contains 30 seeds.

In early spring, start seeds indoors 8 weeks before warm nightly temperatures. Place the seeds in sterile media and cover 1/4” deep. Provide 85°F bottom heat, and bright light, and always keep moist. Seeds will germinate in 7 - 21 days. Transplant seedlings into pots and grow until there are 6 true leaves on the plant. Plant them directly into rich soil, 30” apart, or into large 5-gallon containers. Harvest chiles when they are green. If left on the plant a couple more weeks, the chiles will turn red at full maturity.

All of our seeds are GMO-free.

Excellent

I grew them last year here in Wisconsin, just because someone told me it couldn't be done due to the growing zone. I am now finishing up the last of my roasted peppers and have 48 new seedlings started. I will continue to buy my seed stock from you!

Great seeds, great service, great delivery

Several years in a row now--marvelous seeds that grow excellent Hatch and Chimayo chiles which we enjoy year-long. Fast, and constant supply. Thank you so much.

LOVE these!

I lived in NM for a year and fell in love with Green Chilis. Now I live in PA and grow them from these seeds. Every year I have SUCH a bountiful and delicious harvest. I usually can most of it for use year round. These seeds never disappoint, I used the same packet a couple years in a row. Just bought two more packets.
