Hatch Green Mild - NM 6-4 has always been the standard for open-pollinated mild green chile. It is such a wonderful variety that it remains very similar to its improved cousin NuMex Heritage 6-4. Pods are 6" long with thick fleshy walls and grow on 30” plants.  A large amount of Hatch Green Mild can be added to recipes for delicious and traditional flavor and aroma with mild heat and not the burn of hotter varieties. The most popular green chile to grow because of its mild heat content and it matures early and grows well in short seasons. Capsicum annuum (70 days) Heirloom - Open-Pollinated - Untreated

Heat Level: Mild Scoville: 1,000

~ Packet contains 30 seeds.

In early spring, start seeds indoors 8 weeks before warm nightly temperatures. Place the seeds in sterile media and cover 1/4” deep. Provide 85°F bottom heat, and bright light, and always keep moist. Seeds will germinate in 7 - 21 days. Transplant seedlings into pots and grow until there are 6 true leaves on the plant. Plant them directly into rich soil, 30” apart, or into large 5-gallon containers. Harvest chiles when they are green. If left on the plant a couple more weeks, the chiles will turn red at full maturity.

All of our seeds are GMO-free.

Very Mild Chile

These Chili's are small but flavorful. They produce a lot on each plant. They're very mild but still have the peppery flavor. I highly recommend them!

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS Hatch Green Chile!

This was our first year growing Hatch Green Chile and we fell in love! We started the seeds indoors with 100% germination and transplanted healthy plants outdoors in May. The plants grew tall and sturdy, were productive with lots of green chiles, and easily survived our humid, 100+ degree weather. The chiles were thick skinned which made roasting and peeling a breeze! The Hatch chile is one of a kind, there is nothing like it. We had so many Hatch peppers that we shared with family and friends. We tried lots of new recipes including Hatch Salsa, Hatch Chile Sauce, Hatch Chili Relleno Casserole, Hatch Enchiladas, and Stuffed Hatch Chiles. We froze some and are now able to enjoy Hatch Chiles in December! You have to try Hatch Green Chiles!!

Love mild green chilies

The hatch mild green chili is one of a kind. So delicious. The seeds have just started germinating to be put out this spring. Very excited to have them. Very excited to see what it's like in my own soil as well.

Delicious green chiles, easy to grow

My chile garden was awesome this year, these seeds were super easy to start, and grew quickly into productive plants with nice fat chile pods. They were great for roasting as they have thick flesh and skin that peels off easily after blistering them. Just made a batch of green chile stew this weekend to enjoy!
