Jalapeño M - The addictive flavor of this Jalapeño M makes it America's most popular pepper! The Jalapeño M variety has larger fruit with more heat than the Early Jalapeño, with thick-walled dark green fruits that average 3-1/2” long by 1-1/2“ wide. This variety is slow to turn red and grows on plants from 24” to 36“ tall. Jalapeño M peppers can be found in rings atop nachos and chopped into Mexican sauces. They can be used fresh or pickled. In early spring, start seeds indoors 8 weeks prior to warm nightly temperatures. Place the seeds in sterile media and cover 1/4” deep. Provide 85°F bottom heat, bright light and keep moist at all times. Seeds will germinate in 7 - 21 days. Transplant seedlings into pots and grow until there are 6 true leaves on the plant. Plant them directly into rich soil, 30” apart or into large 5-gallon containers. Harvest peppers when they are full size and glossy dark green.

Ordered in 2023, planted in 2024 (my entire jalapeno crop for the year), and discovered that they were not jalapenos. I politely contacted customer service. Sandia offered a very tepid "apology", blaming a supplier, and let me know that they had long been aware of the problem. I wish they had let me know so I could have made different plans. And no, Sandia did not offer replacement seeds as a gesture.

Perfect germination with a warm pad indoors, very vigorous plants. We just did our first pickle and I had some raw and they are spicy and flavorful even when relatively young. Looking forward to eating way too many and having spicy gut.
Boy were these peppers amazing! About seven months after I planted the seeds, I picked a pepper and cut it up into thin slices and put those on my sandwich, and boy was it good!!!

I've found that when you combine roasted carrots, habaneros, lime juice and garlic, it will make the best hot sauce of your life. I think it's the sweetness and depth of the carrots that make the sauce even better, and pairs perfectly with the habanero heat. I got the inspiration from one of my favorite store-bought hot sauces, Marie Sharp's Habanero hot sauce. Sometimes I add some of your Chef's orange tomatoes too to make more of it, and they also give more flavor to the hot sauce and help tame the heat a bit. I grow these in my garden every year along with your orange habaneros, orange tomatoes and other hot peppers and veggies. Very reliable.
These fabulous peppers added lots of color to our patio pots. So pretty in multiple colors, plus you can pick them and add to salsa for a nice spicy kick. These are fun in any ornamental edible garden.
We let these hang dry, then ground them up – they made the tastiest pepper flakes. They have a nice kick, but good flavor too. Easy to grow plants, pretty peppers.

These germinated in two days. I started them in midsummer and they fruited by late fall in my zone 10b garden and are overwintering just fine. I’ll have more to harvest by late spring. I made my red sauce for pozole for Christmas with my harvest!
Big Chiles with just enough heat to add to green enchilada's. The flavor after roasting is fantastic. Since green chile roasting is not a local thing in Eastern Washington we us a weed burner. The smell of roasting peppers is heavenly.
My favorite green chili to grow. Plenty of heat and after roasting sit perfectly on a hamburger. Also my wonderful wife makes Puelo Chili jam that is a real crowd pleaser
