Serrano Tampiqueño - This variety has a distinctive and unique hot flavor! It is crisp, bright and notably hotter than the jalapeño it resembles. Serranos are typically eaten raw, so no need to roast or peel. Popular in pico de gallo, salsas, and soups. This Tampiqueño variety has superior flavor compared to other serranos.
Small 2-1/2" long and 1/2" wide peppers grow on productive 24" plants. A little pepper with a big kick. Capsicum annuum (78 days) Heirloom - Open-pollinated
Heat Level: Very Hot Scoville 15,000 - 25,000
~ Packet contains 30 seeds.
In early spring, start seeds indoors 8 weeks prior to warm nightly temperatures. Place the seeds in sterile media and cover 1/4” deep. Provide 85°F bottom heat, bright light and keep moist at all times. Seeds will germinate in 7 - 21 days. Transplant seedlings into pots and grow until there are 6 true leaves on the plant. Plant them directly into rich soil, 30” apart or into large 5 gallon containers. Harvest chiles when they are green. If left on the plant a couple more weeks, the chiles will turn red at full maturity.
All of our seeds are GMO-free.

I will let you know after the pepper fruits.
thank you,
Dora
These were the first seeds to germinate--I started 6 and all seeds sprouted. The two that I grew to maturity have done very well in containers and had great yields for their size. Great flavor and pretty hot. I'm definitely growing these again next year!
Such a terrific variety and a lot more slim and easier to handle than other varieties of Serrano (which tend to be fatter). Spicy as all heck and they mature quickly and the yield has been outstanding, so far. It's only early August. I expect another 40 to 50 peppers. I'll be using the mature, red pepper as part of a fermented hot sauce.
I absolutely love serrano tampiqueno peppers. I have great germination, they mature fast, and are heavy producing plants. The peppers are quite hot but have wonderful flavor. I grow these peppers every year from seed from Sandia Seed Co.
These plants matured much faster than i expected.
When i picked three serranos, i made salsa out of them. I let it sit in the fridge for a few hours, i tasted it. It had a nice sweet flavor, and a nice hot flavor too.
You guys are the best seed selling company i have ever bought from!
Great germination, productive plants.
GOOD GERMINATION, HUGE HARVEST. WILL GROW THESE EVER YEAR NOW.
I am growing these Serrano peppers in pots, and they are doing great. The Serrano seeds all germinated quickly with some bottom heat, and they've been taking off ever since in my large patio pots. There are tons of serrano peppers on my plants. I will be growing these every year from here on out!
