Bhut Jolokia White Seeds
White Bhut Jolokia is a cool color and very unique. This pepper, like all Bhut jolokia, has heat that builds and builds in your mouth. The White Bhut jolokia is also known as White Ghost Pepper and it is very popular for making a white hot sauce.
Bright white color with smooth skin. Fruit is 2-1/2” long and 1” wide and matures from light green to white. The flavor is sweeter and more citrus-like than the red variety. Plant grows to 3’ tall and are extremely productive. These hot peppers are great in our Ghost Pepper Salsa Recipe »
Warning: Handling this pepper requires extreme caution. Wear hand, eye and breathing protection.
Capsicum chinense (120 days) Open Pollinated

In early spring, start seeds indoors 8 weeks prior to warm nightly temperatures. Place the seeds in sterile media and cover 1/4” deep. Provide 85°F bottom heat, bright light and keep moist at all times. Seeds will germinate in 7 - 21 days. Transplant seedlings into pots and grow until there are 6 true leaves on the plant. Plant them directly into rich soil, 30” apart or into large 5 gallon containers. Harvest peppers when they are full size and glossy white.
All of our seeds are GMO-free.

This is a start-to-finish review, beginning indoors in late 2020 & ending in the garden in September 2021. First, all 10 seeds in the packet germinated and grew from seedling to mature plant. Three went in-ground & the rest in 5 gallon buckets. The in-ground plants hit nearly 4 feet, while the bucket peppers grew to 3 feet. ALL plants were literally covered in peppers, which started green then ripened from pale yellow to white. Amazing. While not as hot as the red ghost, these whites are still painfully hot, more so than habaneros. These peppers produced so heavily that I’ve had to give away a couple hundred to chilihead friends, plus I’ve got a big stock of dried whites to last well into next year. The whites work well in salsas, sauces, in dry rubs, sliced on eggs or in omelettes. They can be eaten raw, if one can handle the exquisite, intense burn.
All this for just 4 bucks! Thanks, Sandia Seed! This year was bumper for my super-hot garden (reapers, red ghost, chocolate bhutlah, trinidad scorpion, komodo, dragon’s breath, red savina) but the most prolific performer were these beautiful whites. Highly recommended! Bravo!
Amaze your friends with the Ghost white!
We make a white hot sauce using coconut milk and peppers, and these white ghost peppers have great heat and flavor and are the perfect color for our white blend! These ghost pepper seeds had great germination rates with our seedling heat mat. Thank you!
Thanks for these excellent seeds, we had lots of beautiful white ghost peppers last year, can't wait to harvest them again this year!
These are wicked hot and quite beautiful in white when ripe. Very unusual! I found that they need a long growing season, so next year I will be starting them earlier to get more harvested before the winter hits. Took a little time to germinate (about 7-10 days) but nearly every seed sprouted eventually! Bottom heat helps. I grow these to make a white hot sauce.
