Yellow Scotch Bonnet - This pepper gives Jamaican chicken dishes their special flavor! Scotch Bonnet goes by several names including Jamaican Hot, Martinique Pepper and Bahama Mama. It is closely related to the habanero, but with a sweeter flavor and stouter shape. The pods are 1-1/2" wide and 1-1/2" long and have a citrus-like flavor with a lot of heat. They mature from green to bright yellow on very productive 24" tall plants.  Capsiucum chinense (90 days)

~ Packet contains 10 seeds.

Heat Level: Extra Hot
Scoville Heat Units: 200,000 - 325,000

Capsiucum chinense strains require a great deal of attention during the germination process. Moisture and a constant and consistent heat range must be maintained. Place the seeds in sterile media and cover 1/4” deep. Provide 85°F bottom heat, bright light and keep moist at all times. Seeds will germinate in 7 - 21 days. Transplant seedlings into pots and grow until there are 6 true leaves on the plant. Plant them directly into rich soil, 30” apart or into containers.

All of our seeds are GMO-free.

A 2nd & 3rd Generation!

Got these seeds in 2020, before the woorld fell apart. Saved seeds from that year grew easily and made more, highly productive plants. This year with record heat stopping my super hots dead in their tracks, the 3rd generation of seeds, saved from 2021, ignored the heat and made "like hell" producing 5 compact plants that produced lightly during the 105F to 115F temps in June, July, August; and then went crazy in September. The 5 little plants are now making a couple of pocketsful of beautiful, hot ripe peppers every week. These seeds are the best bargain I've ever had in hot pepper seeds.

Excellent, a little different

Very good germination rate. Attractive bright lemon-yellow pods with good habanero-level heat and a bright, almost floral flavor. Highly recommended.

2020 Scotch Bonnets

They definitely were a little punchier than the 2019 batch, overall taste wise the sweetness came out really well with them but are still hot enough for a good jerk for chicken or pork. they pulled away from the habanero taste a bit as well kinda a bit more on the floral or earthy side but still mild enough to be able to add into a dish without a overwhelming flavor either way so absolutely 10/10.
