Komodo Dragon has an intense heat that lingers on and on. At first, you can taste a wonderful hot fruitiness, but then after about 10 seconds the full might of this little demon hits you and your whole mouth is aglow. Komodo Dragon originated in the U.K. and was created by Salvatore Genovese. This pepper could be the unofficial hottest pepper in the world.

(100-120 days) This pepper produces bright red 1-1/2 to 2” elongated fruits that become soft when ripe. It has a fruity flavor before the pain. Plants grow up to 3’ tall and are very productive.

*Soak seeds overnight in water before planting.

Germination Tip: Start indoors 8 weeks before transplant date, sow 1/4” deep. Keep soil moist, with bright light & bottom heat at 80-85 degrees F. Germination: 14-21 days.

Warning: Handling this pepper requires extreme caution. Wear hand, eye, and breathing protection.

Heat Level: Savage. Scoville: 1,400,000

~ Packet contains 10 seeds.

Limited to two packs per customer

ALL Capsicum chinense strains require a great deal of attention during the germination process. Moisture and a constant and consistent heat range must be maintained for all varieties. Place the seeds in sterile media and cover 1/4” deep. Provide 85°F bottom heat, and a bright grow light above them, and keep moist at all times. Seeds will germinate in 14-28 days. Transplant seedlings into pots and grow until there are 6 true leaves on the plant. Plant them directly into rich soil, 30” apart or into containers.

All of our seeds are GMO-free.

Nice Hot Pods

These grew great, and had lots of pods. Made some spicy dragon salsa with the harvest. Cool to grow dragons in the garden.

Excellent

9/10 seeds germinated and now are small Komodos, waiting for warmer days and nights. I’m happy.

83% Germination rate., but I received extra seeds!

Purchased 10 seeds and received 12. Only 10 sprouted, BUT, I paid for 10 so technically that's a 100% germination rate?

I planted peppers 25 days ago and nearly all are putting on their third set of true leaves. Their rate of growth is on par with my 7-Pots and Trinidad Scorpions, slightly better than the Chocolate Carolina Reapers, and a LOT better than the Dragon's Breath.

Compared to the Dragon's Breath, these are growing 2-3x as fast, but, for what it's worth, I had every Dragon's Breath seed germinate. Overall, between these two "Dragons", I am excited about these and slightly disappointed in the performance of the other.

Growing media: Miracle Gro seed starting mix.
Growing temp: 81-84 (thermometer in dirt).
Fertilizer: Miracle Gro at seedling strength, after first true leaves emerged.

Excited to try these dragons

Ordered up your Dragon's Breath peppers along with these Komodo Dragon peppers, I'm excited to grow "dragons" in my garden next season. I'll let you know how it goes, I know these need a long growing season so I'll start them indoors in January and see if I can get them nice and big before late May to plant outside so I have enough time for them to get ripe! Thanks as always for your quality seeds.
