Open-pollinated, heirloom (85 days)
Fruit Color: Bi-color Yellow and Red. Shape: Flattened Globe. Size: 1 lb. Plant Habit: Indeterminate Plant Size: 6’
Large 1 lb. Bi-color fruits are famous for their sweet and fruity low-acid flavor. A beautiful tomato with a unique color of yellow on the outside and red streaks inside. The Pineapple tomato vines set fruit fairly early, and also ripen quickly. In mid-summer, they seemed to stop blooming, and then they put on another flush of production in late summer/early fall. The fruit is very lovely when sliced, and has great flavor. One big slice of this tomato on bread with mayo makes a great summertime sandwich.
History: This 100-year-old heirloom is originally from Kentucky. It produces beautiful fruit with bright yellow flesh and red-mottled stripes running throughout it. It is really sweet with a slight pineapple-like taste. Pineapple tomatoes have been known to reach 2 lbs.
Heirloom, Non-GMO 10 Seeds
Germination Tip: Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before transplant date. Sow 1/4” deep, keep the soil moist and warm at 70-80˚F. Germination takes 5-10 days. Move to bright light when seedlings emerge. Transplant to larger containers when the first two true leaves appear.
All of our seeds are GMO-free.
Sandia seeds has never let me down and the pineapple tomato may be the best tomato yet from them. It has a firm flesh and fabulous taste. Also very prolific this past season. My turkeys discovered tomatoes a few seasons ago, but they wait for them to turn red so the pineapple went unpecked! Another bonus. The picture is mid June, I'm zone 4, and the chain link is 6 ft tall! By July they were topping the fence.
We live in a Zone 2-3 in northern British Columbia, we operate a small commercial greenhouse and this last year I chose the Pineapple for our new variety, I am so impressed with the results! 1.5lb beautiful fruits off of one plant. It is so delicious, sweet and low acid! The color is gorgeous!
Gorgeous color, meaty flesh, great for making orange salsas with habaneros. Also these did good in our short season here in New Mexico.
When cut open, these beautiful pineapple tomatoes do indeed look like tropical fruit with streaks of pink and orange. They are delicious and lovely in salads, on sandwiches, or used to make orange salsa. Thanks for the excellent seeds, nearly every one we planted sprouted.
These strong seedlings gave us an excellent crop. we had a lot of fruit on just one plant. Unfortunately because of how big they grew before ripening, they were picked before the full color had a chance to emerge. Also, because of how long they stayed on the plant, they were taken by squirrels before we could eat them. Nothing bad against the seeds, they were great! Just not my favorite variety to grow.

Great seeds, good germination, plants grow quickly and produce lots of pods for roasting. Great flavor and just the right amount of spice. We grow these every year in our garden in Utah.
These are so beautiful, tasty, and meaty. They make a great pico-de-gallo!
These were so big, one tomato can make a nice big bowl of salsa. They do have amazing flavor and color.
These were so tasty and very productive. Great for salsa.
I tried these purple Cherokee seeds on 2024. This is the first time growing these purple Cherokees and were amazed at the ease of germination and taste
These germinated in two days. I started them in midsummer and they fruited by late fall in my zone 10b garden and are overwintering just fine. I’ll have more to harvest by late spring. I made my red sauce for pozole for Christmas with my harvest!
Big Chiles with just enough heat to add to green enchilada's. The flavor after roasting is fantastic. Since green chile roasting is not a local thing in Eastern Washington we us a weed burner. The smell of roasting peppers is heavenly.
My favorite green chili to grow. Plenty of heat and after roasting sit perfectly on a hamburger. Also my wonderful wife makes Puelo Chili jam that is a real crowd pleaser
I was looking for a spicier New Mexico red chile and this was awesome! It is a beautiful looking pepper and the taste is superb.
Very productive plants even up here in New England!
Plants were quite bushy and full of peppers. Great flavor. Made a wonderful little Ristra with some of the later harvested peppers. Will continue to grow these yearly.
These plants were super healthy all season long and produced a LOT of fruit. They'll add heat and color to any dish. They made my cowboy candy and pickled jalapeños extra special!
Very good germination rate and super abundant and delicious peppers!. I had them in 10g and 5g fabric pots and they very well the last two years. Amazing to smoke and dry / freeze to have throughout the year! I just made a spicy brown porter mustard with scotch bonnets! Also made an amazing roasted scotch bonnet hot sauce! yum!
These Hatch Chiles are flavorful with a good amount of heat! Each plant produced a good amount of peppers! I will be growing these again!
These grow large. We roast them and peel them and make green chile from them. My husband adores them.
Made Chili Mac for my Step son and he ate it all in one sitting.
I plant 10 plants every year.
