An ideal cut flower, the zinnia is an easy-to-grow annual that should be in everyone’s garden. This variety produces vibrant long-stemmed flowers that are 2-1/2" across in a blend of pink, bright scarlet,  yellow, salmon, white and more. This packet plants 50 sq. ft area.

Zinnia seeds can be started inside or directly sown into garden soil.

Zinnia may be grown from seed sown early indoors and transplanted outside after frost, or sown directly in the garden after frost.

Sow indoors 5-7 weeks before outdoor planting date in spring. Sow seeds ¼  inch deep in seedling mix. Keep the soil moist at 70-75 degrees F
Seedlings emerge in 7-10 days. Place under bright light during the day.
Transition outside (harden) for 7 days before outdoor transplant. Space 18" apart.

Direct sow seeds outdoors in average soil in full sun after all danger of frost.
Scatter seeds evenly about 10-12" apart and cover with ¼ inch of fine soil. Firm soil lightly with your hand, water and keep evenly moist. Seedlings will emerge in 7-10 days.
Thin seedlings to stand 18 inches apart when they are about 1-2 inches tall.

Remove spent flower heads to keep plants flowering until fall. Zinnias make terrific cut flowers, and cutting the flowers encourages new blooms. Flowers are a mix of gold, orange, red, yellow or bi-colored. Plants grow to 20 inches tall and are long-blooming. Recommended for containers, beds & borders, and the pollinator garden.

Hummingbird lover
The prettiest flowers

Zinnias are so pretty in the garden, they grow fast from seed that I direct seed into the sides of my vegetable beds, and they quickly grow into a nice row of gorgeous colored flowers. The hummingbirds and bumblebees and butterflies love them. Thanks for offering these seeds! I figure the more pollinators the more chile peppers! :)
