NuMex Jalapeño Lemon Spice  - This yellow jalapeño is nice and spicy and popular because of its bright yellow color.  Use this beautiful pepper to enhance the look of everything you would make with green jalapeños! This jalapeño is green at immaturity and bright yellow at maturity. It has thick flesh and spicy flavor like the Early Jalapeño, but a lot more heat. Yellow Jalapeño seeds are easy to grow, and these yellow beauties will certainly please in the garden! This yellow jalapeño ripens as early as 65 days after germinating – which means you can enjoy these yellow gems earlier than most other peppers! Plants are 24” tall and pods 3” x 1” wide. Capsicum annuum (65 days) Heirloom - Open Pollinated

In early spring, start seeds indoors 8 weeks prior to warm nightly temperatures. Place the seeds in sterile media and cover 1/4” deep. Provide 85°F bottom heat, bright light and keep moist at all times. Seeds will germinate in 7 - 21 days. Transplant seedlings into pots and grow until there are 6 true leaves on the plant. Plant them directly into rich soil, 30” apart or into large 5 gallon containers. Harvest peppers when they are full size and yellow.

Beautiful and hot!

These plants were super healthy all season long and produced a LOT of fruit. They'll add heat and color to any dish. They made my cowboy candy and pickled jalapeños extra special!

Easy to grow and nice and HOT for a Jalapeno!!

These beautiful yellow jalapenos are nice and HOT! Just how I like my jalapenos. When some other jalapeno varieties tend to be more mild, these have the spicy kick I'm looking for to use for poppers or in salsa or hot sauce. They also grew super fast and kept producing all summer. We also picked them when they were green at first, and they still packed some heat and good flavor. The yellow ones of course had more flavor, but sometimes you want your jalapenos sooner so picking them green is also a great option. I am going to grow these every year!
